Hi! I'm Astrid Ellensdatter Mork-Knutsen,
the creator behind Pommepai!

I'm a Norwegian animator, video-artist and filmmaker.

My art and animations are often inspired by philosophy and symbolism. I explore the intersection between analog and digital techniques. This brings a handmade quality to my work and the digital aspects modernize and enhance the look and feel. I've worked with interdiciplinary projects where I combine animation with live performances such as dace and live music. These projects allows me to push the limits of what animation has the potetial to be. When working on these kinds of projects, I feel very inspired by my collaborators from different artistic fields.

I've worked with project management since 2019, and worked as an art-director since 2021. 
I studied animation at Volda university College and École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris. In 2024 I finished my post graduate degree in cultural leadership at Oslo Metropolitan University.
